International Film Editors Forum (IFEF)

In addition to the Guest Country Evening and the International Panel, the International Film Editors Forum (IFEF) has been held on the Saturday of the festival since 2018.

For the event in recent years, Edimotion has developed an intensive, five-hour format based on the concept of a ‘World Café’ workshop. The main aim of the event is to promote closer networking among international film editors and to offer them a creative space to explore various aspects and challenges of their professional reality. Among other things, this is where the idea for an international umbrella organisation for editors was developed, which was founded in 2019 as part of the festival: in future, TEMPO aims to strengthen global cooperation between associations and synchronise work on common goals.

An International Film Editors Forum is also planned for 2026 as an in-person event.
